Glitchbots VR (Oculus Quest 2)

Greetings fellow robots,

Glitchbots is a multiplayer vr stealth shooter game made for virtual reality (Oculus Quest 2).

In Glitchbots you play as a robot with stealth mechanics. This means that you, as a player are invisible by default. Once the player interacts with items in the environment such as ammo or health pickups, or is hit by another player, they become visible for a short period of time.

The glitch in Glitchbots stems from the fact that if you as a player shoot, you'll leave a glitchy version of yourself in the map. Giving the enemies an indication of where you're last location was.

The player has a small smoke and burn trail following them around the map, this to make it slightly easier for enemies to find you're location, without forcing a player to interact with something to start combat.

Glitchbots is still in development and was developed by a team of 2 students enthusiastic about virtual reality as part of a free choice university module at HKU.
